In this performance, Idan Elmalem engages in a dialogue between the traditional Arab oud and modern artistic music. Together with his close creative partners — Shoham Gabay and Sarel Hacohen — they create an intimate conversation that bridges the depth and roots of the East with the personal, the local, and the contemporary.
Idan’s compositions invite the audience on a journey through the dimension of time — past, present, and future; day and night; rhythm and presence. These pieces are featured on his new EP Zman (“Time”), which is being released these very days.
