Kaufman-Gitter Hall
An Original Hebrew Song Cycle
Noam Heinz, baritone | Hagai Yodan, piano
Ronnie Reshef, composer | Tsafrir Kolatt, lyrics
The world premiere of “The Summer Journey”, an Israeli counterpart, is presented in the 200th year of Schubert’s famed Winterreise.
This new song cycle travels through the Hebrew calendar—from the early-summer heat of Iyar to the end of Tishrei—moving from the initial departure to the journey’s renewed beginning.
You won’t find frozen lakes, great rivers, or snowstorms here, but rather our own landscapes: the scenery of this land and of the soul.
O my homeland.
A touch of romance in the Zin Desert.
