The Toscanini String Quartet was founded seven years ago by members of the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra (IPO). Under their visionary artistic direction, the quartet pursues innovative cross-disciplinary collaborations with artists and thought leaders from various fields. By blending different languages and perspectives, the Toscanini String Quartet injects a fresh and innovative dimension into their performances, even when interpreting traditional classical repertoire.

In 2017, the quartet performed at the inaugural concert for the "Friends of the IPO Fund, Vienna," featuring the acclaimed soprano opera singer Chen Reiss. The following year, they created the groundbreaking "16 Strings and 1 Body" performance in collaboration with renowned choreographer and dancer Renana Raz. This ground leading project, which fuses chamber music with dance, has been performed in both Israel and Hong Kong.

Recently, the quartet has co-created a children's performance titled "Eine Kleine Kids Musik" in collaboration with the esteemed Moran Choir, further showcasing their versatility and commitment to innovative programming.

The Toscanini String Quartet is proud of its unique collaborations with distinguished artists such as jazz pianist Shai Maestro, soprano saxophonist Yuval Cohen, clarinetist Jonathan Hadas, DJ Omri Smadar, cellist and singer Maya Belsitzman, and the Tomboys trio.

The ensemble is currently the ensemble-in-residence at the Ein Karem Music Center in Jerusalem and the Chelouche Gallery in Tel Aviv.
