In a special production for the festival, guitarist Liat Cohen and the actress Keren Mor present an intimate encounter between the human voice and the strings of the classical guitar. The performance features masterworks for the guitar alongside readings of the poetry of Victor Hugo, Jean de La Fontaine, and Bar Waysbort.
Rooted in the ancient relationship between lyric and accompaniment, this performance seeks to dwell in a rare moment of separation: allowing music and poetry to stand side-by-side. The intent is to rediscover the inherent beauty of each—the singular quality of a lone note and the transparency of a spoken word.
