In a festive season finale concert, Ensemble Mezzo hosts Ensemble Me La Amargates Tú—an international ensemble among the foremost in the field of early Spanish music. The performance is dedicated to Ladino and Hispanic music of the Middle Ages and Renaissance, highlighting the profound connections between the repertoire of pre-modern Spain and the Spanish-Jewish singing tradition as it developed in the diaspora communities around the Mediterranean basin.

The program weaves together Ladino songs, romances, and ancient Spanish songs in rich and refined vocal performances, accompanied by authentic instruments such as the Baroque harp, recorders, percussion, and historical guitar. This is an evening of musical wanderings among female figures, forbidden loves, piyyutim, and songs of longing—performed by singers and instrumentalists from Israel, Argentina, Mexico, and England.
