The Poetry of Leah Goldberg Set to the Music of Gon Halevi

Leah Goldberg’s timeless words meet original compositions by Gon Halevi, created specifically for this event. The performance creates a breathtaking dialogue between the old and the new, bridging distinct eras and generations.

Alongside the original music, Goldberg’s poems are woven together with new narrative texts written exclusively for this project. Part musical, part theatrical, this performance offers an extraordinary experience, inviting the audience to feel the immense depth of an icon of Hebrew poetry and view her legacy through a completely new lens.

Performed by a virtuoso ensemble of 11 female singers and a pianist.

Gon Halevi is a composer, singer, and pianist, and a graduate of the Mannes School of Music in New York. In recent years, he has specialized in creating evocative performances that sit on the spectrum between classical music and theater.
