The members of Ensemble Mezzo connect the Israeli audience to the world movement of ‘historically-informed’ performance at the highest artistic level of music by the best composers of the Middle Ages, the Renaissance, and the Baroque. The ensemble performs across Israel with a wide range of programs, combined with scholarly guidance. The ensemble offers a variety of collaborations with prominent performers in the field from Israel and abroad.
In addition to promoting 'ancient music' in Israel, the ensemble believes in encouraging and promoting contemporary Israeli work alongside preserving the classics of the Hebrew songs. The ensemble collaborates with composers, records their works and integrates them into its programs.
