The program opens with Poulenc’s charming Trio for Piano, Oboe, and Bassoon, a work that effortlessly blends wit, elegance, and modernity. Next comes Bartók’s vibrant and eclectic trio “Contrasts” for piano, clarinet, and violin—full of rhythmic vitality, unexpected turns, and the rich folk influences that characterize the composer’s style. The evening concludes with Scenes from “Petrushka” for four hands, a thrilling and colorful adaptation of Stravinsky’s groundbreaking ballet.
