Kaufman-Gitter Hall
An Original Hebrew Song Cycle
Noam Heinz, baritone | Hagai Yodan, piano
Ronnie Reshef, composer | Tsafrir Kolatt, lyrics
On the 200th year anniversary of Schubert’s Winterreise, the festival presents the world premiere of the Israeli “Summer Journey.” This song cycle traverses the Hebrew calendar—from the searing heat of Iyar to the end of Tishrei, and from the departure on a journey to its renewal. In place of frozen lakes, mighty rivers, and snowstorms, you will find our own vistas: the landscapes of our land and the soul. Oh, my Country! My Homeland!
